At the start of each school year we hold a vote in each class to select the new School Councillors. Part of their role is to be the voice for the pupils and help shape decisions made in school. To kick start their new role , we took our KS2 School Council to London at the start of the school year. We were able to visit the Houses of Parliament and the House of Lords and see a real live debate! The School Council also took part in a workshop to understand how laws are made and then finished our visit with a Q&A session with the MP for West Bromwich – Sarah Coombes.
