Year 5 Launch their new science topic

On Wednesday this week, Year 5 travelled to The National Space Centre in Leicester to learn all about our solar system ahead of our science topic which starts next week.

Firstly, we went into the Planetarium to see how the constellations form our night sky and then we took a tour of the Solar System, our galaxy and the Universe from our seats!
In separate class groups, we then went to a workshop on the Earth, Moon and Sun and in our free time we wandered around the different exhibitions about space travel, rockets and the planets in style.
