This week the children were introduced to perimeter and area by actively standing on the ‘outside edge’ and ‘space’ in the small hall. Children were then shown how to split different shapes to find the perimeter. We hope to move onto area next week.
In English the children have made notes about Percy Fawcett, a British geographer, artillery officer, cartographer, archaeologist, and explorer of South America. His exploration of South America created links with our text The Explorer, based in  the Amazon.The children have written well thought out questions that they would have liked to have asked him.
