The children are loving learning about Space, Space travel and the planets and have been learning through these topics. Over next two weeks, we will be focusing on 2D and 3D shape in Maths. Children will be learning to recognise, name and identify shapes, according to their properties.

They will be creating shape pictures involving space, rockets, spaceships and using peg boards to develop their fine motor skills. In English we shall be focusing on sentence writing and punctuation. We shall be focusing on using our Fred Fingers, phonics, segmenting and blending words and the structuring of sentences i.e., ‘A sentence is a little piece of sense’, if it doesn’t make sense it isn’t a sentence!

We also will be celebrating Chinese New Year, this will be explored through a variety of creative mediums to develop your children’s skills in role play, Art, Music, dance to name a few.
