This week in year 4 we have looked at place value and partitioning numbers in different ways.  We looked at the bar method, using Base 10 and using place value coins and using place value grids.  We found that you could partition numbers in many ways.  In English we are writing a setting description of a wintery mountain like the one in our book.  Using our senses and working in our Kagan groups we gathered ideas that we will use in our writing.  We had our very first violin lesson, which was very exciting.
