One of our areas of learning is “Understanding The World”. As part of this we have enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year this week in Nursery. We listened to the story of the fierce dragon that terrorised the villages and how he was chased away with noisy firecrackers! We wrote Happy New Year cards for our families and tried to copy the Chinese symbols for “love” and “friend”.

In Technology we have taken part in activities for Safer Internet Day 2019. We talked about what the internet is and how we like to use it. We agreed that we must ask permission before we use people’s ipads or phones and go online. We also enjoyed using the Nursery ipads. Some of us selected writing or number games and some looked things up on the internet, with a little help from our teachers.

We are practising pencil control and letter formation, building up to writing our own names. Some of us are getting so good at writing our names now.
