This week Year 5 have begin the Maths Unit of Multiples, the children soon realised the importance of Times Tables, and have been encouraged to refer to the chart given before half term, and to log onto their Times Table Rock Stars programme.

In English we have begin to identify the bias and balanced arguments from several articles. The children also watched two videos of people giving their views on their local community. The children were asked to comment on the points of view. Many were able to identify that together the clips would produce a balance discussion.

On November 5th the children were involved in reading activities based on the story of Guy Fawkes. The children had to infer, deduce, predict and retrieve information, using collaborative techniques.
