Culture week in Nursery

Week commencing 31.10.16

In nursery this week we have been learning about different cultures. We finished painting our clay diva’s for Diwali. We also talked about fireworks, we also made fire work pictures using straws and paint.

We made a fire work design on biscuits using icing pens. We developed our ICT skills using a 2simple programme and made firework pictures.

We dressed in traditional dress to celebrate different cultures. We also did some Bhangra dancing, we enjoyed this a lot!

We also had a visitor in who painted African masks with us using paint and dabbing it on with wooden pegs.

This week we have had our parents in for stay and play. We made some spooky halloween crafts with them. We have also been learning about Diwali and we have been making Diva's from clay. We are going to leave them to dry over the holiday and paint them when we come back.

Week commencing 26.09.16

We all took part in supporting the Macmillan coffee morning and enjoyed eating lots of yummy cake. Ryders Green raised a lot of money for charity!
