The children have been exploring Onomatopoeia, sounds written down for example ‘,   woof’ for a dog or’ moo’ for a cow. The children are also learning how to use and write the ‘tricky’ words common to sentences e.g. the, so, I, he, she etc. The important skill of ordering a story or sequencing events will be focused on, that stories need a beginning, middle and an end. The children also learn PSED aspects through the story, topics such as what makes a good friend? How could we be better friends? Doing your fair share? Looking after your environment.

As the children have progressed and have learnt techniques to make their own creations through modelling, more materials and joining equipment and tools are allocated freely to be chosen and encouraged to create their own ideas. We encourage you to do the same at home, when possible to sponsor their creativity.
