Year 2 sees the final year of Key Stage 1, where children will continue to learn new concepts and new vocabulary.
Through the year they will become increasingly independent and be encouraged to challenge themselves accordingly. The children gain opportunities to further develop their positive attitudes to learning and they begin to acquire higher expectations for themselves.
During the year the children are given the skills to fully equip them for their end of Key Stage 1 assessments.
The children also cover a range of exciting and creative topics throughout the year including;
Autumn: 'What are seasons?' and 'How did the first flight change the world?'.
Spring: 'Where does our food come from?' and 'Who are the greatest explorers?'.
Summer: 'What are the seven wonders of our world?' and 'How has food changed over time?'
